As an indie author who just happens to enjoy reading weird stuff, it can be hard to get your name pushed out there. You hear it all — over-saturated markets, or maybe social media isn’t social media-ing the way you want. Shit’s hard.

Participating in Stuff Your Kindle events (SYKs) has been a major help for me over the 3+ years I’ve been doing this now as a self=published author. I used to work as a social media person for YouTubers back during COVID as well as a content editor and creator, so I have some concept of how to put things like this together from that and from participating in SYKs. So, why not lift up my coworkers?

This event is for any authors and their readers who love the macabre, the spine-chilling, Halloween, monsters, and dark worlds to fall into. Are they all necessarily dark? No, we have some more light-hearted stories here too for people who like campy horror. Within these stories, there’s also some awesome representation for queer rep, fat rep, neurodivergent rep, and POC rep.
